One Coolant – All Metals – All Operations
International Compound #1686-C

International Chemical Company (ICC), a leading supplier of metalworking fluids announces International Compound #1686-C – a heavy-duty, non-foaming, biostable machining and grinding fluid that exhibits reduced oil misting in the workplace. The unique I.C. 1686-C low-misting formula drastically minimizes operator exposure to biocides and chemical additives. Traditional coolants used increased levels of biocides, the 1686-C is a formulation that is robust and bio-resistant. In addition, many customers report reduced oil misting to levels well under those recommended by OSHA and NIOSH guidelines.

International Compound #1686-C is especially suited for medium and heavy-duty applications involving high- or low-carbon steels, alloy steels, cast iron, nodular iron, and gray iron, 300 and 400 series stainless steel, and automotive-grade cast aluminums. Because the formula is biostable, the following metalworking fluid undesirables are virtually eliminated: sour smelling sumps, pH drops, stained parts and machine tools, emulsion instability, and clogged lines and filters. As a result, using the International Compound #1686-C lubricant reduces the costs of downtime previously required to clean coolant sumps, distribute additives, and replace damaged machinery. In addition, it dramatically minimizes the cost of spent-fluid disposal.

ICC’s fluids incorporate a time-tested technology that is currently in use by more than 400 customers in the metalworking, automotive, aerospace, and off-road equipment manufacturing industries. International Compound #1686-C’s non-foaming, bio-stable capability eliminates the need for traditional defoamers and minimizes the need for sumpside use of biocides. It is clean running, and is compatible with a wide range of water hardness levels, ensuring a long odor-free sump life and facilitating excellent cutting performance.

ICC announces the release of I.C. 2502

A full synthetic, competitively priced was developed with extremely low oil & grease extractables, solved many waste disposal issues at a large exhaust system component manufacturer. I.C. 2502 is designed for blanking, piercing, drawing, stamping and forming operations. It provides excellent rust protection is easily cleaned off with water and will not smoke in welding operations. For an evaluation, please call 1-888-CALL-ICC.

International Compound #2502 is a water based synthetic lubricant for blanking, piercing, perforating, stamping, forming, drawing, and roll forming operations on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. The high film strength of International Compound #2502 reduces friction and provides efficient antiwear protection.
