Manufacturer’s Chemicals and Formulations

International Chemical Company collaborates with our raw material suppliers in an effort to manufacture, blend and supply a comprehensive portfolio of high quality industrial additives engineered for chemical compatibility within our entire range of metalworking fluids and compounds. Our 100 years of experience have guided us to this simple list of industrial additives which suit almost every manufacturing need. For all industrial applications, ICC’s wetting agents, surfactants, defoamers, biocides and fungicides are imminently capable of improving operations and solving problems.

Featured Industrial Additives:

Extreme Pressure Additive:  International Compound 3803 is a concentrated metalworking additive package for operations utilizing carbon steel, silicon steel, stainless steel, nickel alloys, copper and aluminum. It is formulated to supplement severe metalworking operations in which resistance to high temperature (840° F), impact shock (5,000,000 PSI) and extreme pressure (4,200,000 PSI) is required.  ICC 3803 is a tungsten disulfide dispersion that provides ultra-pressure and excellent anti-wear properties even at high load and extends tool and die life.  It is soluble in a wide variety of neat oils including mineral oil, naphthenic oil and synthetic oil.

Wetting Agent: International Wetting Agent 12 is a very economical, concentrated, biodegradable, low-foaming, silicone-free and nonionic liquid surfactant engineered to prevent water spotting in the final and intermediate rinse stages of aqueous cleaning systems. It should be implemented exclusively as a sump-side additive for clear water rinses, alkaline liquid cleaners and rust preventatives. For the best results in most aqueous operations, the typical sump-side treatment rates are as follows: 2.5 to 13.0 fluid ounces per 100 gallons of water and/or chemical solution.

Surfactant: International Surfactant 14 is a nonionic, low-viscosity, low-foaming surfactant engineered to boost the detergent capabilities of alkaline cleaning baths by dramatically reducing the surface tension between soils and metal surfaces. It should be implemented exclusively as a sump-side additive. Individual treatment rates can and will vary widely depending on the following factors: temperature of the bath, solution concentration, overall volume of the operational tanks, nature of the soils to be removed, types of metals and total exposure time.

Defoamers: International Defoamers 23, 430 and H are highly effective and silicone-free antifoaming agents formulated for use in a variety of industrial applications. They are engineered to be used exclusively as sump-side additives. For the best results, they should be added directly at the point of foam generation (the area of greatest agitation or operational turbulence). ICC defoamers are compatible with all metal-forming oils and lubricants, metalworking coolants, vibratory and burnishing fluids, as well as alkaline spay and immersion cleaners in most aqueous equipment.

Biocides: International Compound 550-LF and GROTAN. ICC 550-LF is an extremely low-foaming, powerful liquid detergent formulated to contain strong emulsifying properties. It is engineered to remove residues of metal-forming oils and lubricants, machining and grinding coolants, vibratory and burnishing fluids, sludge, tramp oils and greases from the coolant side of machine tools and from the internal components of all re-circulating systems. In addition to being free-rinsing and safe for use on all metals, ICC 550-LF also acts as an industrial biocide, eliminating all microbiological growth during use. ICC 550-LF contains biocide additives at the maximum allowable treatment rate per Environmental Protection Agency regulations. GROTAN is a long-lasting, broad-spectrum industrial biocide and fungicide engineered for the preservation of metalworking fluids and coolants. Referred to as an antimicrobial pesticide as registered by the EPA, GROTAN is effective at eliminating a broad range of bacteria found in contaminated baths. It also provides corrosion and rust protection.

Fungicide: International Compound 550 is a very powerful liquid detergent formulated to contain strong emulsifying properties. This industrial fungicide is also engineered to remove residues of metal-forming oils and lubricants, machining and grinding coolants, vibratory and burnishing fluids, sludge, tramp oils and greases from the coolant side of machine tools and from the internal components of all re-circulating systems. It is free-rinsing, safe for use on all metals and eliminates fungal and bacterial growth. ICC 550 contains fungicide additives at the maximum allowable treatment rates per regulations stipulated by the Environmental Protection Agency. It is very economical and easy to use. ICC 550 is highly effective at very low solution concentrations.
